About Us > Our Story
Creekwood Church offers contemporary and biblically driven worship services that are alive with energy and creativity, as well as excellent childcare, exciting children's and student ministries, and dynamic small groups. That’s where the church is today, but what brought this fellowship to this point was a vision.
In September 2004, Creekwood Church was born with 20 people, a living room and that inherent vision to serve God and the City of Mansfield. A few months later, Creekwood Church launched its first service with 55 people at Rogene Worley Middle School. And within three weeks of Creekwood’s one-year anniversary, the church moved to Mansfield High School with its life-giving message and Sunday celebrations full of joy and passion.
More people. More space. More vision. And God was only just beginning.
Four years later, in December 2008, Creekwood Church purchased its first facility, which included 13 acres and a 9,058 square foot building. After Creekwood was given the keys, the building added a 3,400 square foot childrens facility and was made into a home. April 4, 2010 marked a new era with that vision to reach the unreached from Creekwood's permanent home at 260 North Miller Road.
God is at work at Creekwood Church because the focus is simple and people are free to go after God with passion. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
Today, that vision is seen through small groups, meaningful connections, and a simple style of presenting the Gospel. Today, that vision is Creekwood Church.
